A Culinary Journey Through Central Italy Led by Dave, this exclusive 8-day journey takes our guests deep into the heart of Italy to experience first hand the food, history, and stunning landscapes that make Umbria, Lazio, and Abruzzo so unique. From bustling food markets to secret family-run trattorias and hands-on cooking experiences, this is an immersion into some of the most authentic flavours Italy has to offer.
The Experience The journey begins on foot in Rome, exploring local markets and discovering how ancient history intertwines with modern-day food culture. We then escape the bustling city to slow down in Umbria, Italy’s tranquil “green heart”. Here, we wander through side streets, discover local artisans, and take part in hands-on cooking experiences that showcase the region's exceptional agricultural heritage. We conclude the journey in Abruzzo—a deeply personal destination, as it is the home region of Dave's wife's family. This lesser-known gem of central Italy offers stunning mountains, Adriatic beaches, and a vibrant food culture, allowing our guests to uncover bold, regional flavours completely untouched by mass tourism.

Journey into Hidden Italy Experience the tranquil, authentic soul of Central Italy, far removed from the mass-market tourist trail.
This exclusive itinerary is designed for the discerning traveller who wants to discover the "hidden Italy" that remains intact and uncommodified. We bypass the crowded hubs to explore the Etruscan towns of Umbria (Italy’s "Green Heart"), the historic countryside of Lazio, and the spectacular, untouched mountains and lakes of Abruzzo. This is slow travel at its finest, offering a version of Italy that most tourists will never see.
Seamless Logistics: Travel with unprecedented comfort. We utilize professional private drivers to navigate the rural hilltop roads, allowing you to relax and enjoy the spectacular regional landscapes without a moment of stress.
Boutique Stays: Forget generic hotel chains. You will stay in carefully selected, character-rich environments—from charming countryside castles to intimate boutique inns that reflect the true soul of the region.
Dynamic Culinary Access: We bypass rigid, predictable tourist menus in favour of spontaneous, seasonally driven experiences. You will enjoy exclusive "step-into-the-kitchen" encounters with traditional local cooks, experiencing everything from regional foraging to hands-on heritage cooking, tailored entirely to what is freshest and most authentic on the day.
Untouched Landscapes: Experience a landscape largely unaffected by mass tourism, where rural agrarian traditions, rolling hills, and ancient villages remain perfectly preserved.
