Day 1-2 Rome – The Eternal City’s Culinary Foundations

We begin our  Italy tour on foot in Rome, where many of Italy’s culinary traditions were born and perfected. Over the next few days we’ll dive into Roman cuisine, explore local markets, and discover how ancient history intertwines with modern-day food culture. 

Day 3-6: Umbria – The Green Heart of Italy

Next, we head into Umbria, Italy’s tranquil “green heart,” where the pace of our tour will slow down. Here, we’ll cook, explore Umbrian specialties, and visit charming towns nestled in lush landscapes. After the bustling energy of Rome, we’ll have time to wander through side streets, discover local artisans, and enjoy the region’s pristine beauty. Over three days, we’ll delve into Umbria’s rich agricultural traditions, experience its vibrant food markets, and take part in hands-on cooking experiences that showcase its exceptional culinary heritage. 

Day 7-10: Abruzzo – The Hidden Gem of Central Italy

We finish our journey in Abruzzo, a special place for Dave's wife's family who are from this region. The Abruzzo is a lesser-known gem of central Italy that offers stunning mountains, beaches, and a vibrant food culture. Over the final three days, we’ll uncover the region’s bold flavours, artisanal products, and rich culinary heritage.
